Continued international collaboration and open dialogue, such as that carried out through the SEAD initiative, will help to further shrink motors’ share of energy consumption over the years to come.

Global Efficiency Medal competition targets electric motors, which consume 40% of world’s electricity

The Super-efficient Equipment and Appliance Deployment (SEAD) initiative has announced the winners of its Global Efficiency Medal competition for super energy-efficient electric motors. Motors from Nanyang Explosion Protection Group Company Limited and Siemens Limited took top honors.
