Governments, companies, and international partners collaborate to accelerate the transition to clean energy through private sector sourcing

An international assembly of high-level clean energy leaders attending the Seventh Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM7) has launched the Corporate Sourcing for Renewables Campaign, a collaborative drive to significantly increase the number of companies around the world powering operations with renewable energy.

North American Governments Announce Pilot Program to Accelerate Regional Adoption of the Energy Management Standard ISO 50001

Energy ministries from Canada, Mexico, and the United States announced that nine companies will join the North American Energy Management Pilot Program to promote implementation of the ISO 50001 international energy management system standard.

Companies across North America are invited to apply for the Energy Management Pilot Program

The Commission for Environmental Cooperation, with the support of the Clean Energy Ministerial’s Energy Management Working Group (EMWG), is spearheading an innovative pilot program to help North American companies reduce their energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. The North American Energy Management Pilot Program includes energy management training and coaching to implement the ISO 50001 standard. Companies can find more information on the CEC Energy Program webpage. The application deadline is 8 January 2016.
