APEC Energy Working Group Endorses Global Lighting Challenge

The Asia–Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Energy Working Group (EWG) recently endorsed the Clean Energy Ministerial’s Global Lighting Challenge (GLC), a campaign to accelerate the transition to highly energy-efficient lighting.

The Clean Energy Solutions Center has developed a no-cost e-learning course to introduce a range of renewable energy topics, in partnership with the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Energy Working Group and Leonardo Energy. The course is available to anyone via the Leonardo Energy website. The course comprises four modules that cover renewable energy technologies, including power-generation technologies and integrating renewable energy into the power grid, economic regulation of electric utilities, policy and regulatory frameworks and conditions for success, and energy access through renewable energy.
