This case study describes how ELOMP was the first company within the ENOC Group of companies to achieve ISO 50001. Following the ISO 50001 certification, as a part of continual improvement, a detailed energy audit for electricity was carried out by external experts from Global Engineering.

CEMEX facilities are the first and only cement plants to be ISO 50001 certified in the Philippines

This case study describes how the company surpassed the initial goal of 2% improvement to achieve an overall 3% reduction in total energy consumption which is equivalent to 395,585 GJ. These savings amount to 1.9 million USD given the current local energy market prices (both electricity and fuel).

EZDK is the first steel plant in Egypt to implement the Energy Management System ISO 50001

This case study describes how EZDK has managed to achieve a reduction of 4.6% in electricity consumption and a reduction of 3.8% in natural gas consumption for the years 2015 & 2016 based on the baseline of three years consumption (2011 – 2013). Yeosu SM Plant of LG Chem, producing over 500,000 tons of Styrene Monomer (SM) annually, achieved 7.48% energy savings during 2014-2015

This case study describes how the Yeosu plant introduced an EnMS to forecast future energy consumption and GHG emissions, and therefore manage the related risks. They achieved total energy savings of 302,405 GJ (7.48%) and a GHG emissions reduction of 78,525 tCO2, both achieved during the monitoring period (2014-2015) against the baseline period (2013).
