In 2015, the Clean Energy Ministerial’s International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN), in partnership with the Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF), launched the second ISGAN Award of Excellence international competition to showcase leadership and innovation in smart grid projects around the world. This video presents an interview with Robbie Ahern, program manager of DS3 (Delivering a Secure, Sustainable Electricity System) at Ireland’s Eirgrid, which received a silver ISGAN 2015 Award of Excellence.

The GRID4EU project Large-Scale Demonstration Of European Smart Distribution Networks received a gold ISGAN 2015 Award of Excellence.

Today, during the fifth Clean Energy Ministerial in Seoul, Korea, the International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) and the Global Smart Grid Federation (GSGF) announced Entergy New Orleans, Inc.’s “SmartView” Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) pilot project as the winner of the first-ever ISGAN Award of Excellence.

ISGAN Annex 1 Project Catalogue Part 1

The ISGAN Annex 1 Project Catalogue provides a global view of smart grid activities and investments to allow identification of remaining gaps along with opportunities for targeted collaboration or further investment by ISGAN Participants. As of 28 March 2013, the inventory had a total of 98 smart grid projects from 17 ISGAN Participants. The inventory will continue to be updated at an as-needed interval to be determined by ISGAN Participants. Part 1 organizes smart grid projects in the inventory by project main applications that relate to smart grid technologies in the assessment report.
