The Group of 20 (G20) Leaders’ Declaration from the 11–12 November 2010 Seoul Summit expresses strong support for “country-led” green policy and technology efforts such as the 11 Clean Energy Ministerial initiatives.
G20 nations pledged to create enabling environments that foster the development and deployment of energy efficiency and clean energy technologies. These efforts will include supporting ongoing initiatives under the Clean Energy Ministerial and encouraging further discussion on cooperation in research and development and regulatory measures. The declaration also directs the G20 Energy Experts Group to report on progress made in these areas at the 2011 Summit in Cannes, France.
