Five solar lighting devices recently won Lighting Africa's Lighting Global Outstanding Product Awards and were recognized at the Third International Off-Grid Lighting Conference and Trade Fair in Dakar, Senegal. At the third Clean Energy Ministerial in London on 25–26 April 2012, the Electric Vehicles Initiative (EVI) released the EV City Casebook, a compilation of illustrative case studies focused on city and regional electric vehicle (EV) deployment efforts from around the world. The casebook includes 16 pioneering cities and regions across 9 countries and 3 continents that together account for roughly 30 percent of EVs on the road to date.
