Participation

Participation in the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) is action-oriented and flexible. The CEM’s eleven initiatives are based on areas of common interest, and governments step forward to lead or support those initiatives that are priorities in a national context. This shared leadership model fosters clean energy collaboration and innovation around the world.

The 23 participating CEM governments account for 80 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions and 90 percent of global clean energy investment. They are the world’s leaders in clean energy research, development, and implementation.
