2009 Reference Case Scenario: Canadian Energy Demand and Supply to 2020

This report analyses the trends for the energy supply and demand in Canada. The report predicts an increasing usage of wind energy and decrease in coal-generated electricity. Energy demand growth will slow significantly due to a reduction on the population growth, higher crude oil prices, slower economic growth, implementation of demand-side management programs and a growing concern with the environment. The report considers three price scenarios: reference, high oil and natural gas prices and low oil and natural gas prices.
