ACTION Star: Six Policy Actions for Accelerated Deployment of Renewable Energy

This summary document provides an overview of the International Energy Agency’s Action Star program, which is designed to offer policymakers guidance on renewable energy technology deployment. This summary includes high-level assessment of the drivers and reasons for governments to intervene to promote renewable energy deployment and manage the risk-reward ratio to attract new financing. It concludes by offering a set of four overarching guidelines to influence policy design as well as six specific policy actions to accelerate deployment.
