Evaluating Clean Energy Public Finance Mechanisms

This report showcases a methodology to evaluate the performance of different public finance mechanisms and their suitability for replication in other applications, policy contexts, and geographies across the clean energy continuum. This continuum represents stages of development—research and development innovation, demonstration, targeted deployment, untargeted diffusion and market independence—to support the growth of an industry. The report evaluates eight case studies against this methodology in order to identify best practices.
