The Solutions Center empowers governments, advisors, and analysts to develop impactful policies and programs that accelerate the adoption of advanced energy technologies and promote access to affordable, reliable, and secure energy. We offer no-cost energy policy and technical assistance through a global network of experts, catering to government policymakers and their supporting technical institutes. Our services include online training, webinars, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities. As a comprehensive knowledge portal, the Solutions Center provides access to a wealth of online energy resources, such as policy best practices, data, and analysis tools. In partnership with leading international and regional organizations, we share these resources with a global forum of energy experts, policymakers, and stakeholders.

What We Offer
The Solutions Center provides free expert assistance, webinars, training forums, energy policy reports, data, and tools in partnership with leading international and regional organizations.
Ask an Expert Service
Our Ask an Expert service connects government agency representatives and their supporting technical institutes with a global network of experts, offering complimentary policy and technical assistance. To date, the Solutions Center has supported hundreds of requests from over 90 countries.
Web-Based Training and Peer Learning
In collaboration with global partner institutions, the Solutions Center’s webinars engage global audiences in interactive discussions on critical topics ensuring access to affordable, reliable, and secure energy.
Resource Library
The Solutions Center’s extensive collection includes best-practice policy reports, data, and analysis tools to benefit policymakers. We also develop policy briefs to inform legislators, decision-makers, government agency analysts, and utility executives on current best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
Energy Analysis
The Solutions Center contributes to the global energy dialogue through original research and analysis. We’ve issued reports on topics such as electricity resilience policies, the addition of reliable energy in electric power markets, and policies to spur energy access.

The Solutions Center offers current, relevant information on energy policies, including emerging policy reports, enhanced policy data, and analysis tools.
Solutions Center Governance
The Solutions Center is an initiative of the CEM, a global forum for sharing best practices and promoting policies and programs that encourage and facilitate access to affordable, reliable, and secure energy.
The Solutions Center is co-sponsored by the governments of the United States and Australia.
For the Solutions Center, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) manages content development, service delivery, website design and maintenance, analysis, and all other products and services. NREL also coordinates activities with the Solutions Center’s many partners.
Ask An Expert Service
Since its launch in 2011, the Solutions Center’s experts have responded to over 400 requests for assistance from more than 90 countries, island nations, and regional organizations worldwide.
