Jon Crowe oversees Cadmus’ urban climate planning and strategy practice. He has worked with leading cities on climate action, adaptation and strategic planning initiatives aimed at achieving deep cuts to GHG emissions and preparing for climate impacts. In 2015 and 2016, he advised Bloomberg Philanthropies and the U.S. Department of State on content for the first and second Our Cities, Our Climate learning exchange which brought together over 40 sustainability directors from a geographically diverse range of cities. He supported the City of Boston’s 2014 Climate Action Plan Update, the San Francisco Environment Department’s 2016 strategic planning process and the City of Denver’s recent climate action and adaptation plans. He has also advised cities and national policymakers on energy policy design and has analyzed policy options and proposed renewable energy incentive program rates to the governments of Ghana, Malaysia, Saint Lucia, Seychelles, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad and Tobago and Tunisia. Jon has worked with cities on climate and energy planning since 2006 as an energy and program analyst for the City of Medford, Massachusetts and the international NGO ICLEI ‐ Local Governments for Sustainability. He is a Certified Environmental Professional in Greenhouse Gas Quantification (EP(GHG)) and holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University.
