Marvin Lagonera

Mr. Marvin Lagonera works with ICLEI Southeast Asia Secretariat based in Quezon City, Philippines. ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is the world´s leading network of over 1,500 cities, towns and metropolises committed to building sustainable future. Lagonera is also a lecturer at the Department of Economics of the Ateneo de Manila University. He completed his Master’s degree with research specialization on energy policy and governance of East and Southeast Asia at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. He also undertook research at the Graduate School of Energy Sciences of Kyoto University in Japan. He is currently part of the team developing the Climate Change Mitigation Framework Strategy of the Philippines and is involved in climate and energy-related projects such as the Global Compact of Mayors and the Asia Low-Emission Development Capacity (ASIA LEDS) project.
