Michael Wu is a Principal at Converge Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm focused on the intersection of advanced energy technologies, financial innovation and resilient infrastructure. He also serves as a Fellow at New America in the Resource Security Program. Michael previously served as a senior advisor on energy resilience and clean energy in the U.S. Air Force. In that role, he helped create the Air Force Office of Energy Assurance, which is dedicated to deploying large-scale clean energy projects on Air Force installations. He also founded and led the Air Force’s Resilient Energy Demonstration Initiative (REDI), which is dedicated to developing and deploying innovative energy technologies and business models. Previously, Michael served as the Energy Program Director at the Truman National Security Project. In that role, Michael developed policy priorities and strategy for Operation Free, a coalition of more than 5,000 military veterans and national security experts advocating to secure America with clean energy, and he founded the Defense Energy Program at the Truman National Security Project, which developed and advocated for policy supportive of the military’s clean energy and energy resilience initiatives. Michael is a graduate of St. John’s College and Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, and he serves as an officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the United States Army Reserves.
