Shell’s top climate change executive heralds inclusion of CCUS in Clean Energy Ministerial’s work as positive step for industry decarbonisation

David Hone, Shell International’s Chief Climate Change Advisor, praised the inclusion of carbon capture, utilization and storage in the work of the Clean Energy Ministerial on his popular blog, saying the technology is a necessary component of decarbonising industry. He said, “It is good to see the CEM is bringing much needed focus to this area … and offered an opportunity to announce a fresh initiative aimed at boosting the progress on CCS. The Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) Initiative will focus on strengthening the framework for building collaborative partnerships on CCUS between the public and private sectors.”
