2013 Carbon Sequestration Technology Roadmap

Sources:

Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum

This road map sets out to answer three questions within the context of the power generation and industrial sectors: (1) What is the current status of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology and deployment, particularly in CSLF member countries? (2) Where should CCS be by 2020 and beyond? (3) What is needed to get from Point A to Point B while also addressing the different circumstances of developed and developing countries? The authors concludes that CCS technology is viable but expensive and in need refinement, and that an enabling suite of policies should be implemented, including a communications strategy and a focus on regional collaboration.
