Sustainability Planning

“Sustainability promotes development that allows current needs to be met without jeopardizing the ability of future generations to meet their needs” (“Our Common Future, Chapter 2: Towards Sustainable Development“, United Nations. ) . Sustainability uses a framework of the environment, economy and society to assess impacts and develop planning strategies. Sustainability perspectives provide a strong foundation for determining impacts and potential development solutions that integrate and ensure the longevity of energy, water and food resources.
