Finance for Energy Access
Energy access may require special financing, given that there can be higher costs for extending the grid or building micro grids. And, in remote communities, developing a bankable business model can be challenging. Special financing programs target the specific needs of energy access programs. This could include developing pay-as-you go models for off-grid solar or providing low-cost debt or grants to support microgrid development.
