Net Metering and Net Billing

Net metering and net billing are utility programs that provide end users with credit or payment for excess energy produced by a behind-the-meter generation system, often solar photovoltaic (PV). Utility programs may have different methodologies for calculating the value of this energy and providing remuneration to the end user.
