Voluntary Appliance and Equipment Labeling

Voluntary appliance and equipment labelling provide customers with energy performance information in order to encourage more energy efficient purchases. Widespread adoption of voluntary labeling programs is inherently more challenging than mandatory programs; however, they might be more appropriate or feasible in certain contexts.
