Water Pumping
In many rural areas and locations with limited water availability mechanized water pumping is the only reliable alternative for lifting water from the ground. Reliable solar and wind turbine pumps are rapidly becoming more attractive than traditional power sources for pumps. These technologies, powered by renewable energy sources, are especially useful in remote locations where a steady fuel supply is problematic and skilled maintenance personnel are scarce. This page provides access to technical and policy resources on integrating clean energy water pumps and water access programs.
