Clean Energy Funds

A clean energy fund could be a strictly public sector program or a public-private partnership in which a fund is structured in such a way as to allow a certain return profile for public or donor funds and another (or multiple) return profiles for different types of private sector investors. This is also known as a blended capital facility. A clean energy fund could be administered by a variety of private or public sector institutions, such as development banksgreen banks, and private sector entities. For example, a clean energy fund could provide revolving loans or grants.
