Bioenergy and Food Security Criteria and Indicators (BEFSCI) (Website)

This website—created by the Bioenergy and food Security project of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)—provides policymakers and practitioners a set of criteria, indicators, good practices, and policy options for sustainable bioenergy production to concurrently support rural development and food security. The website contains several reports on best practices and policy and a Food Security Assessment Tool, and it has compiled a set of tools and methodologies for the development of a sustainable bioenergy sector.
