The En.Lighten: Efficient Lighting for Developing and Emerging Countries Website assists countries in accelerating market transformation with environmentally sustainable, efficient lighting technologies by: (1) promoting high performance, efficient technologies in developing countries; (2) developing a global policy strategy to phase-out inefficient and obsolete lighting products; and (3) substituting traditional fuel-based lighting with modern, efficient alternatives. Country support is provided through this initiative in many forms including the Global Efficient Lighting Partnership Program, the Energy Efficient Lighting Toolkit, Country Lighting Assessments, and meetings and events, such as regional workshops, most of which are accessible through the website.
