The Government of Tanzania is establishing a framework for development of small power projects (ranging from 100 kW to 10 MW in capacity) using renewable energy sources in Tanzania. The goal of the framework is to reduce negotiation time and cost, opening the possibility of implementing rural electrification projects throughout the country.
