The World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) launched the Lighting Africa initiative to provide up to 250 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa with access to affordable off-grid lighting. Policymakers can use resources on the Lighting Africa website to learn about product quality assurance, market intelligence, consumer education, access to finance, and policy studies.
